Realism

Skin, fat and muscle tissue with realistic look and feel
Accurate representation of chest rise and fall during ventilation, and compression depth and recoil during CPR
Thoracic landmarks give realistic feel under palpation
Nasal and oral passage provide anatomically correct landmarks for a realistic training experience

Versatility

Variable inflation of the tongue simulates normal lingual tension, tongue edema, and anaphylactic reactions
Allows for a range of airway management procedures
Model and consumables have been produced and tested for longevity

Cleaning

Remove lubricant residue with warm water and mild detergent
Mild detergents or enzymatic cleaning agents should be used in-line with manufacturer’s instructions
Alcohol spray (minimum 75%) can be used to fully sanitise this trainer. Spray and wipe off as required. This can be done on the silicone skin and latex airway
Allow model to dry completely before storing

Safety

NOTE: The new TruMan Trauma manikins are not compatible with TruMan Trauma X consumables, including the Super Saver Trauma Training Packs. Please see the “Works with” tab for the latest consumables and bundles
Care should be taken when moving and setting up this manikin. Manual handling weight guidelines recommend two people lift this product

Objective: The aim is to undertake a systematic review to examine how effective is trauma simulation as an educational process for healthcare providers within trauma networks. Conclusion: Overall, it is evident from this review that trauma simulation is an effective educational tool, which can aid trauma learning, develop team’s non-technical skills and increase task completion, having a positive impact on the trauma network. Trauma units should therefore benefit from increased trauma simulation training and accessibility to repeated simulation based courses or workshops.
