Can trainees identify impacted faecal matter on this male rectal model?
Yes, this model comes with an Impacted Faecal Matter insert, which can be used with either perineum. The insert is easily added to the trainer with the addition of lubricant (supplied) and secured in place for examination.
Are trainees able to perform a rectal examination with the trainer in a standing position?
As standard, all the Rectal simulators come with a Left Lateral Stand. However, there is an additional Standing Position Stand available to purchase, that supports the simulator, to perform a rectal exam in a standing/semi standing position.
Can this trainer be used to practice the administration of medication as well as performing examinations?
Rectal medications such as micro enemas, suppositories, and topical creams, can be inserted or applied to the trainer. When the procedure is complete, ensure that all items are removed from the trainer and that the surface is cleaned of any residual liquids.
