Life Behind Limbs: Our Employee Forum
Just as our models are designed to help healthcare professionals improve lives, we believe in doing the same for our own people, and that’s where our Employee Forum (EF) comes in.
Ever wondered who spends their time crafting the veins in our Venipuncture Arms, or who utilised their design skills to sculpt our Cardiovascular and Respiratory Examination Trainer? At Limbs & Things, it’s our employees who bring our products to life to deliver quality training.
Just as our models are designed to help healthcare professionals improve lives, we believe in doing the same for our own people, and that’s where our Employee Forum (EF) comes in. Made up of passionate colleagues from across different departments, the EF members put in the time to improve life at Limbs.
Listening to the needs of fellow employees and collaborating with leadership teams, the EF develops ideas that turn into benefits for everyone. Focusing on projects that range from wellbeing to productivity, the EF supports building a valued workplace.
Their work includes hosting charity events to raise both awareness and money, introducing Limbs branded merch for our new starters to make them feel welcome from the get-go, and hosting staff events to build our Limbs community among other initiatives. They also proposed that our social media could shine a light on the behind-the-scenes staff, eventually resulting in our ‘Operations Highlight’ campaign that talks about our team and their favourite simulation, which you can see on our social media.
Maisie, one of the members of the forum, says she enjoys delivering initiatives that bring people together.
"It's satisfying seeing a project through to completion. Whether it’s our annual award ceremony that brings everyone together to celebrate our work, or a project that improves an interdepartmental workflow, it gives you a sense of purpose."
