From Recognizing the Sounds to Confident Diagnosis

The all-in-one cardio-respiratory trainer that supports students throughout their learning journey - from their first introduction to physical examination skills right through to interpreting clinical findings and diagnosing complex conditions.

Physical Examination with CaRE

Introducing the Cardiovascular and Respiratory Examination (CaRE) trainer

CaRE gives undergraduate medical students the opportunity to practice a complete cardio-respiratory examination, including inspection, palpation and auscultation, across a range of normal and abnormal presentations.

Students can develop their ability to recognize and differentiate heart and lung sounds, assess pulse rate and rhythm, and identify variations in chest movements, helping them build the practical skills and clinical confidence needed for patient assessment.

Bridge The Gap In Real-World Practice

Standardize learning for every student.

See how one trainer can take students from basic auscultation to full clinical assessment.

One Trainer. Every Level of Learning.

CaRE support students throughout their learning journey - from their first introduction to physical examination skills right through to interpreting clinical findings and diagnosing complex conditions.

Learn the sounds

Introduce learners to a variety of isolated heart and lung sounds, helping them recognize and identify key clinical findings from normal to abnormal, such as S1, S2, S3 and S4.

Recognize the findings

As students develop their recognition, increase complexity by synchronizing heart and lung sounds with pulses and chest movements - Can they identify a Carotid Bruit whilst also distinguishing the surrounding lung sounds?

Interpret the findings

Move from recognizing what they hear to understanding what it means. Challenge students to interpret clinical findings in context and use alongside patient history to develop diagnostic reasoning.

Apply clinical judgment

Put their skills to the test with CaRE’s built-in Assessment mode. Allow students to apply their knowledge to complete patient scenarios, with customizable case notes to support realistic assessment and OSCE preparation.

Redefining What RFID Technology Can Do

Discover the technology behind CaRE’s realistic clinical experience. Patented RFID technology precisely detects where students are examining, delivering the corresponding heart and lung sounds in synchrony.

Unlocking Value Across Your Institution

Did you know? Your institution can use CaRE cross-departmentally.

Designed to support multiple disciplines, CaRE enables institutions to maximize their investments within a single trainer while giving educators greater flexibility to meet diverse learning goals.

Discover which other departments can use CaRE to enhance teaching and learning:

Graduate Medical Education

You can't always guarantee what students will see on rotation. But with CaRE, every student has the opportunity to experience rare or time critical clinical cases in a safe environment.

Nursing

Distinguish normal from abnormal, so students can recognize the signs and know exactly when to escalate.

Respiratory Therapists (RT)

Build the respiratory assessment skills that matter, including anterior and posterior lung auscultation and recognition of various breathing sounds and rhythms using realistic clinical presentations.

Sports Medicine

Build practical assessment skills through realistic clinical presentations, helping students recognize normal and abnormal findings and develop confidence in clinical assessment.
