Module 1: Normal (Nulliparous Cervix)
The normal module represents anatomy of a woman who has not given birth, and is an ideal platform to practice basic examination skills.
Module 2: Large Fibroid (Nulliparous Ectropion Cervix)
This module includes a large benign tumour of muscle and fibrous tissue. It also includes a common condition called cervical ectropion (or cervical erosion and ectopy), where glandular cells extend to the outer surface of the cervix, which can appear during hormonal changes.
Module 3: Small Fibroid (Nulliparous Polyp Cervix)
Representative of a small benign tumour on the uterus and a cervical polyp on the surface of the cervical canal.
Module 4: Ovarian Cyst (Multiparous Cervix)
Includes a cyst within the ovary, on a vaginal model of a person who has given birth more than once.
Module 5: Retroverted (Multiparous Cervix)
An anatomical variation of the uterus, this model’s womb is tilted backwards towards the spine.
Module 6: 10-12 Weeks Pregnant
Representative of a uterus at 10-12 weeks pregnancy
Module 7: 14-16 Weeks Pregnant
Representative of a uterus at 14-16 weeks pregnancy

Are there any ongoing cost associated with the female pelvic examination simulation?
The female pelvic trainer has been designed to have minimal ongoing consumable costs. Your initial delivery comes with aqueous gel lubricant, which is the only supplied item that would need to be replenished as needed.
Outside of the purchased product would be standard training materials such as gloves and cleaning products.
We already own one of the Limbs & Things standard female examination trainers, can we upgrade to an advanced model?
Yes. CFPT comes in Standard, Advanced, or as an Upgrade pack.
An Upgrade pack includes Modules 2 to 7, adding this to your existing Standard Trainer gives you the additional 6 modules that are supplied with the Advanced model.
Alternatively, you can purchase individual modules that fit with your specific training needs:
- Upgrade Pack
- M1 Normal – Nulliparous Cervix
- M2 Large Fibroid – Nulliparous Ectropion Cervix
- M3 Small Fibroid – Nulliparous Polyp Cervix
- M4 Ovarian Cyst – Multiparous Cervix
- M5 Retroverted – Multiparous Cervix
- M6 10-12 Weeks Pregnant
- M7 14-16 Weeks Pregnant
Is there a compatible set of gynaecologist tools available to go with this examination trainer?
CFPT will work alongside your existing tools and equipment, reducing your initial startup costs.
The Mk3 trainer was tested extensively using a “Small 25 x 100mm” speculum, we would recommend this size be used during training. If using a larger sized speculum, we recommend lubricating it well and trialling it before repeated use in training. Note: larger sized speculums could cause damage to the training modules.
Troubleshooting
We can’t get the module out of the gynaecological trainer
The modules are designed to slot into the trainers securely without additional fastenings. To remove a module:
- Remove the abdominal insert that covers the top of the module
- Using two hands, one on the back and one on the front, lift the module up and out of the lower torso
Potential causes:
- Attempting to remove the module with one hand. Note: this could distort the foam of the module, making it more difficult to remove
- Residual lubricant from training has caused the module to stick to the lower torso
