According to a study in The New England Journal of Medicine (Hemorrhagic Shock by Jeremy W. Cannon, 2018), an estimated 1.9 million deaths per year worldwide are due to hemorrhage, with physical trauma accounting for around 1.5 million, nearly 79%, of that number.

Cleaning
- Thoroughly clean the model with warm, soapy water or mild detergent, until foreign matter and residue is removed
- Flush the blood system with warm water
- As a further step to fully sanitize the product, use an alcohol spray (75%+) and wipe off

Safety
- Do not clean this product with: germicides, disinfectants, chemical agents (such as glutaraldehyde/Cidex®), ethylene oxide, phenol-based or iodine containing cleaners
- Do not scrub or use abrasive material to clean the tourniquet trainers, this may cause damage to the paint on the model
