Ultrasound-guided pericardiocentesis trainer for needle insertion into the pericardial space and aspiration of pericardial effusion. Durable, replaceable puncture pad.

This simulator allows trainees to practise pericardiocentesis: inserting the needle under ultrasound guidance, piercing the pericardial sac and aspirating pericardial fluid.

The puncture pad is durable and replaceable, and both the subxiphoid and the parasternal approach can be practised using palpable and ultrasonic landmarks. The needle tip gives a realistic sensation as it passes through the pericardial sac, and pericardial fluid can be visualised under ultrasound scanning before and during the procedure.

The set includes an adult chest model, a pericardiocentesis unit, a 50 ml syringe and a joint hose. Torso size approximately W38 x D25 x H48 cm, weight approximately 8.7 kg. Made from soft resin and latex free. Recommended needle: 18G (needles are not included).
