Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics (ECO) Course at ACOG

ACOG attendees recently participated in simulation-based team training using the PROMPT Flex Wireless Force Monitoring birthing simulator. Learners reviewed protocols for common obstetric emergencies, demonstrated correct technique and performance of key responsibilities during obstetric emergencies and practiced teamwork/communication skills for cases complicated by shoulder dystocia and vaginal breech delivery.

The ECO course is an ABOG Maintenance of Certification (MOC) approved simulation course that will afford the participants credit during their MOC cycle.

Limbs & Things contributes annually to the ECO Course by lending our PROMPT trainers for the workshops. The course was hosted by Shad H. Deering, MD; Tamika C. Auguste, MD; Thomas Benedetti, MD; Kay Daniels, MD; Etoi A. Garrison, MD; Dena Goffman, MD; Kimberly Hickey, MD; Monica Lutgendorf, MD and Lisa Thiel, MD.
