About Limbs & Things
Improving patient outcomes through a realistic training experience
Where It Began
Limbs & Things came into being in 1990 when Margot Cooper saw the impending need for a change in the way clinical skills were learned.
With the emerging technologies, health care, and social issues at the time, medical professionals were thinking in a very similar way.
For years, procedures were practiced on cadavers and animal specimens, which were costly and often reliant on donations for research. Even under the best conditions, this option was not a sustainable solution. A new cost-effective solution was needed to revolutionise the way medical training would progress.
An International Business
In 1996, our first office was opened outside of the UK. Now, nearly 20 years later, we have offices in the USA, Australia and Europe, as well as regional and International Sales Reps that give in-person and virtual support to our customers.
Meeting Demand Through Investment
Our expansion has continued, and in 2018 we undertook our most ambitious project yet – a new factory. We took a brand new space and fitted it out for our manufacturing needs, to improve lead times and ensure a continued level of quality.
More recently we’ve optimised our offices and production areas for more efficient processes and upgraded our warehousing. With the installation of a bespoke media room, we’ve also been able to increase our virtual training needs and produce in-house tutorial videos.
