TruBaby X (Light Skin Tone)
TruCorp’s TruBaby X manikin is ideal for use by anesthetists, nurses, and other pediatric emergency medical professionals practicing Directly Observed Practical skills (DOPS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and other Critical Emergency Medicine.
This infant crisis manikin is designed to represent the appearance, size and weight of a 5-month old infant at the 50th percentile. With its real-feel skin and moveability, TruBaby offers a realistic training experience.

Pediatric Peripheral Venous Cannulation (Hand, Arm and Foot)
- Contains the dorsal venous arch
- Enables peripherally inserted catheterization either through the basilic or cephalic veins
- Manual activation of venous blood flow allows fluids to be withdrawn and administered, providing realistic blood flashback
- Arm facilitates 300+ penetrations using a 21-gauge needle
Urethral Catheterization
- Catheterization using an 8 French catheter (optimal size)
- Successful placement of catheter is indicated by fluid flow

Infant Lumbar Puncture
- Model can assume the required lateral decubitus position, or sit upright

Needle Thoracentesis for a Tension Pneumothorax

Cleaning

- This pediatric nursing manikin can be fully sanitized by wiping the silicone skin and latex airways with a 75%+ alcohol spray
- Ensure that all components are completely dry before storing

How long can we expect consumables in this model to last?
- Needle Decompression Inserts (per set), Arms and Legs (feet only), are all capable of over 300 needle penetrations
- Lumbar Puncture Inserts, Female Genitalia Inserts, and Male Genitalia Inserts, are all capable of over 100 procedures
- IO Inserts are single use
- Chest Drain Inserts (per set, air only), are capable of over 300 needle penetrations, Inserts are single use when performing the Seldinger technique
- Lubrication and Concentrated Blood will depend on individual circumstances
Note: The manufacturer has tested this with optimal conditions. While the AirSim Airway is replaceable, it has been tested to over 20,000 intubation cycles and should not require changing for a significant amount of time, it is also covered with a 5-year warranty.
