Production Scheduler

The Production scheduler is an integral role within Operations who manages the work order schedules within the Production facility. They will run the MRP for work order due date and be responsible for assigning departmental work, for the supervisors to schedule to operators.

On a daily basis they will review the departmental perpetual inventory stock checks and run efficiency & utilisation reports. They also track project progress, help with purchasing and administrative duties when necessary.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of how to use the ERP system (Epicor) scheduling software, and they will need strong communication skills, to work across and with other departments.

The successful candidate will ideally have a qualification in supply chain, project management, or business management and at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar position. They will be able to manage multiple projects, prioritise workload and meet deadlines with a problem-solving mentality. They will also have systems and creative thinking capabilities

You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to follow-through to completion.

You are a strong communicator who can work independently, self-motivated and able to effectively balance a large workload, you are able to read and, understand engineering documents, and work closely with members of the engineering, operations and purchasing team.

You will have good MS Office skills, (i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point,) and experience in computer-aided drafting and design with particular emphasis on Adobe software.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Process Flow and MRP systems, design for all manufacture principals, as well as MRP/ERP systems and Bill of Material generation.
