New Products at IMSH 2012!

Posted: 01-17-2012

We are excited to be showing a number of new products at the IMSH in San Diego later this month. They will include our much anticipated Chest Drain & Needle Decompression Trainer, an Ultrasound Breast Phantom for practising basic breast sonography, and Airway Management trainers for Paediatric training.

SimMom will also be making her second appearance, this time as a finished product, as we are pleased to announce that she went to market at the end of last year. If you are planning to attend the San Diego show this year why not drop by our booth (#617) and take a look.

Look forward to seeing you there!

As well as enjoying the tour of our factory and a spot of lunch, a series of drawings were presented to both universities. Produced by artist Rachel Hemming Bray, these images which depict staff at work on the production line were presented by our very own David Pines & Lee Johnson.

Distributor Training

Posted: 09-16-2010

Limbs & Things largest distributor training course to date was held on Thursday 16th - Friday 17th September, and it was a huge success.

This year, 30 people from 20 countries took part in the training which was held at our Head Office in Bristol. The distributors were trained on a wide range of Limbs & Things products, including the PROMPT Birthing Simulator, Catheterisation Trainers and Joint Injection models to name just a few. The aim of the training was to show distributors how the models work with the chance to use them themselves, so that they can confidently demonstrate and sell the models in their own countries.

Thank you to all those involved who helped make the training such a memorable experience.

Kambia Link voluntary teaching visit to Sierra Leone

Limbs & Things were very happy to donate a variety of our surgical skills equipment to the recent Kambia Link voluntary teaching visit to Sierra Leone.

There were around 30 delegates in all consisting of 10 doctors from the capital Freetown, and around 20 Community Health Officers (CHO's), both qualified and trainees, as well as nursing staff.

The variety of surgical skills equipment that Limbs & Things donated allowed delegates to experience skin suturing, bowel anastomosis, arterial anastomosis, intestinal anastomosis, cannulation cutdown, and abdominal closure.

The visit was a huge success and the majority of attendees felt that the skills that they learnt in the practical workshops could be transferred to their work setting.
